Our vet Sophie has put together this kit with products that can be used in these situations. It includes the following:
Gloves to protect yourself
Bandaging materials to dress wounds until you can get to the vets. Be careful not to apply bandages too tightly.
FiltaBac wound cream - an antibacterial and wound protecting cream, which also acts as sunblock.
Tick remover - always twist the tick to remove it with the head intact.
Flea comb to check for those pesky critters.
Buster pill giver - handy aid to giving tablets whilst saving your hands from scratches and bites!
Blood stop swabs - can be used stop minor bleeding from small cuts and nail clipping. They also contain lidocaine to help reduce the pain.
CLX wipes - contain the active ingredient chlorhexidine which is antibacterial and antifungal. Use these wipes to clean minor wounds and soothe irritated skin
 
All contained in a handy portable bag.
